Upright 130 Chrysler

Upright pianos have a great tradition at Bösendorfer. The singing, carrying tone is just as characteristic of the upright piano as of the grand piano, the same applies to the unique style of construction, the carefully chosen materials and the lovingly hand crafted workmanship. Stylistically adapted from the "Chrysler grand", the upright Chrysler model contains significant elements of this creation. The foundation veneer consists of bog oak, the inlay work consists of a combination of root nut, amboyna, maple and metal. Just as with the grand piano the legs are decorated with the eagle heads characteristic of the Chrysler building and cast in bronze and nickel-plated like the lyra.
