Kawai KG2 Grand Piano Description

Product Description

A very clean Kawai KG2 Grand Piano in beautiful ebony satin finish, the cabinet is in great condition, the piano has rich tone with roaring bass and is crisp in the treble, the action is quick and responsive to the lightest touch. The baby grand measures 5’10” in size, so is made to fit most spaces. This particular one is in the ebony satin finish – an understated elegance unlike wood finishes.

The KG series pianos (manufactured in the 1970’s) are equivalent to the current GX-series Kawai grands. This one is much lower in price though, due to it being used. The KG2 was one of Kawai’s better quality pianos at the time, not the entry level (which were known as the GE-series pianos – currently GL-series).

The Kawai KG2 Grand Piano is built at the original Kawai factory in Hamamatsu, Japan.

The Kawai KG series of pianos is comparable to the new GX series which is the top of the line that Kawai makes, the KG was a popular series and until today it is a sought after model.
